All
energy on earth comes from the sun, including the wind. We mainly
use fossil fuels like coal, oil, fuel and gas that cause air and
water pollution. Wind power can be harnessed for electricity or
heat in numerous ways. Wind power is a safe, effective, cost-efficient
and environmentally responsible way to provide energy wherever it
is needed. Wind turbines are a great investment now because of many
incentives.
Homes,
cabin, businesses, farms, shops and anywhere electricity is required,
wind systems can be installed and provide a good return on the investment.
There are local, state and federal incentives, accelerated depreciation,
tax breaks, green credit sales, electrical production sales and
other ways to save or earn money from the wind.
The cost
ranges anywhere from $20,000 - $40,000 for the average home. Most
of the up front cost is returned to the owner within the first five
years and then a positive cash flow begins quickly, compared to
other building investments. Larger wind facilities are available
for businesses, camps, parks and other public places. They need
to be sized for the loads required and price quoted case by case.
